A Homegoing service for Mr. Stanley Adolphus Morton Sr., beloved husband to Ileys Morton [Nee Cooper], son of the late Charles and Thelma Morton, loving father to Wayne [Linkey], Christie, Stanley Jr. and Scott Morton [Rio], brother to Melvina Robinson, George Morton Sr. [Yvonne], Edith Rookes, Marion Morton, Lucille Lambert [Ewart], Joseph Morton [Brenda], the late Charles Morton Jr., in his 88th year of 1 Princess Estate, Pembroke, will be held at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Today, August 19, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
Lovingly survived by grandchildren: Rieo Paynter, Julesa Robinson, Kacee Morton-Simons, Kairo Morton; great grandchildren: Manoj Paynter, Riel Paynter, Tru’king Parris; extended grandchildren: Cymande Davis, Treavina Davis, Tiara Shine, Xyla Morton-Davis, Khylie Davis-Arorash; special nieces: Lynn Morton and Shayla Morton; initial caregiver and special goddaughter: Roseanne Key; special special caregiver: Danielle Ararat; other caregivers for which we are very grateful: Leni Salmom, Devana Hart, Tanya Smith, Shawnette Easton, Paulette Woodley, Mara Butler; numerous nieces and nephews; godchildren: Winifred Simmons, Winfield ‘Chucky’ Simpson, Michael Baker, Lisa Rivas, Chris Smith and Malik Samms; special friends: Cecilia Hall, Sheila Burrows, Nelda Dyer, Norma Smith, Valerie Dill, Lynell Furbert, Walter Roberts, Walter Lister, Landfall Breakfast Crew and all The Princess Estate Families.
