A homegoing service for Mrs. Veronica Patricia “Ronnie” Virgil [nee Leader] beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Edna Leader; wife to John Virgil; devoted mother to the late Sherlynn, Damon [Heidi] and Jonathan Virgil; sister to Earlston [Sarah], Erwin [Lynda] and Denton Leader [Natasha]; Valerie Leader-Furbert [Clinton], and Diane Hardtman [Charles] and the late Kay Dutton; in her 75th year of 5 Seawall Drive, Boaz Island, Sandys MA01 will be held at Heritage Worship Centre, Dundonald Street, Hamilton today, Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at 2:00pm.
Interment will follow at St. John’s Pembroke Parish Cemetery.
Veronica is survived by grandchildren: Shelbi, Tae-jah , Tyshae Virgil, Josiah Mears -Virgil, Rakayla and Dakari Virgil; great grandchildren: T’Nuri Darrell-Virgil and Legend Virgil; special mother to Tiffany and Carla-Faye Hardtman; aunts: the late Alva Bean, Elaine Wainwright, Mary Mason, Pearl Mapp; Uncle; Gordon Wainwright, nieces and nephews: Brigitte Simons, Christopher, Joshua, David and Emre` Leader, Che` Brown, Sonia Smith, Chris, Dwight and Yolanda Paul, Julie Dill, Glendora, Maria and Michael Ming, Mark Wilson, Terry Cox, L’Tanya Tucker and L’Keish Crane, Joshua and Nathan Samuels, Lianna Masters and Kaitlyn Simmons; sister and brother in-laws; Lisa Leader, Juliette Hoerrmann, Larry Samuels, the late Diana Ming and Sinclair Virgil, special cousins: June Durham and Marjorie Armstrong; sister friends: Carrolldon Benjamin, Carol Whack and Sherri Franklin [USA], Mary Burgess; special friends: Jarvis and Felicity Francis; friends: Violet Burgess, Bernadette Powell, Deborah Durrant, Paulette Maybury, Sandra Simons, Gloria Smith, Judy Cann-Outerbridge, Beverly Burchall and family, Lawrence, Minors, Dill, Caines, Postlewaite, Douglas, Stovell and Hardtman families; goddaughter: Tynisa Darrell; Mid-Atlantic and West End Boat Clubs and other family members and friends too numerous to mention.
