It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Whynona Mae Hassell [nee Wellman] beloved wife of Gilbert [Rocky] Hassell[deceased]; daughter of the late Frederick and the late Annie Mae Wellman; lovingly adored mother to Oranette [Eddie-deceased], Roy[Violet], Connie[Clinard], Kenneth[Arnette] and Burton[Terry]; sister to the late Barbara Sloane, Madge Brown, Ida Anderson [James-deceased], Francis [Freddie] Brown and Wentfield Wellman, in her 94th year of Lorraine Rest Home, formerly of 18 Elizabeth Hills, Park, Pembroke. A service celebrating her life will be held Today at the First Baptist Church, Middle Road, Devonshire at 12:30pm. Interment to follow at St. James Church Cemetery, Sandys.
A viewing will be held at First Baptist Church, prior to the service from 11:30 am to 12:20 pm.
Lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Eddie, Tyrone, Sherry, Jeff, Malik Williams[USA], Nadir, Leroy Jr.[Ashley ]Rodgers, Connicia [Michael] Lee, Cleun [Vanessa ] Gaiton, Brittany and Taury Cox; great grandchildren: Edmond IV, Rachel, Devin, Christian, Samantha, Michael, Alex, Chantel, Andre, Sharleen, Davante, Kayla, Malik Jr., Rhianna, Sarah [USA], Ashlyn, Johan, Alora and Zainab; great great grands: Erin, Nehemiah, Elijah, Avery, Liam, Caleb, Adaline and Harmony[USA]; nephews: Daniel Brown [USA], Allan [Deborah] Anderson and Frederick [Kathy] Anderson; nieces: Susan Reins [Don-deceased] and Emily Brown [USA], other friends and relatives she enjoyed and cherished.
