Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Albert Vernon Dowling of Greensboro, North Carolina, USA in his 94th year, the beloved brother of the late Lionel Raymond Dowling and son of Percival Hilton Dowling and Joyce Melvina Dowling [nee Smith] both deceased.
The funeral service for Albert Vernon Dowling will be held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Orchid Chapel, Augustus Funeral Home, Elliott Street, Hamilton. Visitation at 1.30 p.m. Interment to follow the service at St. John’s Church Cemetery, Pembroke.
He is lovingly survived by special cousins Valerie Smith Pethen, Erika Smith Peterson [Greensboro, N.C.] and Ben Tucker [New York], the Busby, Dowling, Smith, Holder and Bean families in Bermuda, the Tucker, Moore, Heggie families in the USA, his church family of East Market Street, Seventh Day Adventist Church in Greensboro, and many other friends and associates in Bermuda and overseas.
