It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alec Winston Russell, who departed this life surrounded by love. Alec is survived by his wife Danette, loving father to Dawnnae Ming [Craig] and Shannon Berkeley [Janyah], and grandchildren Sanae, Saige [Jaquari], Akliah, J’Kai, and Shantia. A home going service will be held at Christ Church, Devonshire, today, April 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
Visitation will be held at Christ Church, Devonshire, Old Church, today, April 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
Interment to follow at Wesley Methodist Cemetery, Pembroke.
He is also survived by sisters Shirley Hollis [Phil] and June Douglas [Joe]; sister-in-law Doreen Osborne; In-law: Joan Ming; special cousins Pat Drakes and Roslyn Famous [Andre]; lifelong friend Kent Phillips; nephews: Roy Smith [Carla] and Brien Osborne [Lisa] ; as well as close friends Allie Wilson, Charlie Hartman, Arthur Simons [Paulette], Annette Ible, Dorna Phillips, Meryl Simons, Isobel and Calvin Busy, Marcia Ingham, and the John Barritt family; godchildren and many extended family and friends also mourn his passing.
Alec was predeceased by his parents Viola Richardson and Alec Pearman; brothers Edward Russell, Cleveland, Granville, and Herbert Richardson, Noel Pearman, and Charles Pearman; and sisters Pearl Smith and Geraldine Lambert.
