The funeral of Allan Eugene Doughty Jr., in his 76th year, will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Paget, today, Friday, March 22nd at 3:00 pm, with interment to follow at the Wesleyan Methodist Church Cemetery, on Cemetery Road, Pembroke.
Allan was the loving husband of Iris Deveney-Doughty; beloved son of the late Allan Doughty Sr. and the late Mary Doughty [née Paul] and brother of the late Paul Henry Doughty. He also leaves and is remembered with the deepest affection by his son: Allan Doughty III [Marielle] and daughter: Sarah Totah; granddaughters: Marie-Jeanne [MJ] Doughty [Dallas], Christelle Doughty, Zara Totah and Zoe Totah; nephews: John-Paul [JP] Doughty [Crystal] and James Doughty; great niece Aria Doughty and great nephew: Arthur Doughty, along with countless relatives and friends.
Allan embodied love, responsibility, toughness, and kindness. He was protective of everyone that mattered to him, and they knew that he cared. Allan was also quick to laugh, give hugs and would leave everyone around him smiling. Colours may be worn.
