Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Gloria Elizabeth Elaine Johnson and her son Anthony “Bootsie” Johnson.
A Homegoing service for Gloria Elizabeth Elaine Johnson and Anthony “Bootsie” Johnson of Edgeway Lane Pembroke, will be held at the First Baptist Church Devonshire on June 27th at 11am, Interment to follow at Wesley Methodist Church.
Visitation for Anthony Johnson will be held at Augustus Funeral Home on Monday June 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. only.
Visitation for Gloria Johnson will be held Augustus Funeral Home on June 26th ,2026 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. only.
Gloria, in her 93rd year, is the daughter of the late Mary Clarke Simmons and Tommy Lightbourne, loving mother to Sonia Johnson, Ronda Johnson -Trott, Ricky Johnson, Foster Sister Tanya Simons, Late Burnell Jr, Edmund Johnson, Darnell Johnson, Lucinda Worrell – Stowe, sister to Roseann Simmons Spigner, Glenda Simmons, Patricia Simmons, late Ivan Clarke’ Leory Lightbourne ,Frances Clarke, John Stanley Simmons, Anne Simmons Saltus, Rudolph Simmons, Pamela Bolden godmother to Ms. Tamberle’ Bean “Harris” and Angela Jones also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren family.
Anthony “Bootsie” Johnson in his 71st year is the loving son of the late Gloria and Burnell Johnson, loving father to Jordan Johnson, brother to Sonia Johnson, Ronda Johnson -Trott, Ricky Johnson, late Burnell Jr and Edmund Johnson, late Darnell Johnson and late Lucinda Worrell – Stowe, numerous nieces and nephews, First Baptist Church family, special friend Calvin Worrell.
