The family of Daniel Edward Griffin III, Danny, are saddened to announce his passing on June 5, 2026. A private Celebration of His Life was held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Ladies Chambers Park, North Shore, Pembroke West.
Danny was the son of the late Sturgis Sr. and Uriel Griffin (nee Furbert) He is survived by his devoted wife Cheryl-Ann, his three loving daughters Desha Bert (Shea), Erinn Hayward (Noel) and Shann Griffin; his six adored grandsons Daniel, Andrew, Jordan and Thomas (McKenzie) Bert, Evan and Logan Hayward; great-grandsons Dessalines and little ‘Spyder’ Bert. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Sturgis Griffin Jr. (Sandra) and Marshall Griffin; special cousin Wilma Yearwood as well as The larger Furbert Family; in laws Charles-Etta Simmons, Orlando and Dianne Simmons, Shawn and Leon Williams, nephews and nieces; of special mention Harvest Lane neighbours Gary and Dawn Dowling and family, Jordan Daniels, Alan Smith, Keith and Judy Maynard, Hewitt Taylor; friends Vince Dyer and family, Roy Kirby, Eardley Stevens, George Smith, Ed and Sharon Swan, Clarence Lightbourn, Mark Jennings, Chyone Harris, Steve Smith, Wilbur Lightbourn, Barclay Carmichael, Rudy Alleyne, Dane Robinson, Norman Pogson, Jamal Ferdinand, Somers Tuzo and family, Cleveland Smith, Sylvan Crockwell, Princess Estates neighbours, former ZFB and TELCO staff.
Special acknowledgement of his predeceased brothers-in-law McNeil Simmons, Treadwell Tucker and Dr. Femi Bada.
The family appreciates the many thoughts, prayers and acts of support during this difficult time.
Danny was deeply loved and we will cherish every memory.
