It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Elmena Verlice Darrell [nee Bean] in her 76th year. She leaves to mourn in her passing her beloved daughter RoseMarie Lightbourne [Kyle]. She was pre-deceased by her parents Irvin Bean and Marie Lodge and cherished son Edward-Troy Darrell [Deshan]. Loving grandmother to Kiante, Kianya [Sam] Lightbourne, Milauna-Tess and Edward-Troyun Darrell; siblings Renalda Bean [Ela] and Karen Johnson, numerous nieces and nephews, father of her children Edward Darrell; special family friends: the Simmons, Lewis, Hunts and Bascome families, The Spring Hill Crew; god-children: Sandy Scott, Sam Tucker, Wendy Tucker-Adams, Kimeko Roberts, Crystal Bailey-Dill, Nicole Clarke; special friends: Gilda Harvey, Valerie Burch, Birdie Ratteray, Claudette Simmons, Cynthia Tucker, Violeta Tucker, Kita Hill, MaryEllen Kreinbihl and numerous others too many to mention. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Violeta Carmichael, Gilda and Geraldine brothers Larry, Melvin, Gerald, and Leon Bean and cherished friend June Simmons. Colours may be worn.
A memorial service honouring her life will be held on Wednesday, March 27th 2024 at 12:00 noon at Bright Temple A.M.E. Church, Spring Hill Road, Warwick.
Family and friends, visitation will be held this evening Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at AMIS Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
