It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Greta Maud James of 19 Acacia Lane, Sandys, daughter of the late Richard Woodrow Lee and Iris Anita Lee [nee Cann], beloved wife of Rev. Rendol James, caring mother to Thomas Okai and Isaac James, stepmother to Erna Degraff [Alvin], sister to Sheila Smith, Sharon Burrows, Roger Lee [Patricia], the late George and Richard Lee, Jane Simons, Rochelle Lee, Merilyn Caesar, Leonie Simmons and AnnaMae Joinville in her 76th year.
A celebration of life service will be held at Beulah Tabernacle in Sandys on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11am. Viewing will be held at Pearman Funeral Home, Somerset Road, Sandys on January 16, 2026, from 6pm to 7:30pm and Beulah Tabernacle on January 17,2026 from 10am to 10:50am [before service]. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
She leaves behind to be cherished by grandchildren Yasmin Degraff, Icsa-kish and Ma’ata Okai, special nieces Angie Trott and Lisa Swan, special friends Yvonne Ramsay and Sharon Gilbert, numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to Debbie Johnson, Andrea Lambert, PALS, and KEMH staff of ICU and Catlin Lindo.
