It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Islin Monica Cann, beloved wife of the late Herman Cann and daughter of the late George and Neletha Fraser, loving mother to Carlton “Butch” Fraser [Margo Jean] and Carmen “Curly/Linda” Herbert [late Timothy], stepmom to Leola Phillip [deceased] and the late Wendall “Pop” Cann [Lonnette], in her 93rd year of #13 Weathervane Lane, Sandys. A homegoing service will be held on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, at 2:00 pm at St. John’s Anglican Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory siblings Cynthia “Blossom” Sicard [deceased]; Olric “Icky” Fraser [deceased] [Sybil, deceased]; Elaine Houtman [Victor, deceased]; Harcourt “Jack” Fraser [deceased] [Oriel]; Lucille “Punnie” Lightbourne; Ralph “Leo” Fraser [Barbara]; and special sibling Andria Frazer. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
Lovingly survived by grandchildren: Nisha [David], ZacQuaya, Me-Chel, Kimberly, Chad [Isha], Kyle, and Kevin; honorary grandchildren: George [Kina], Gina, and Charee; great-grandchildren: Nizae, Ja’Miyah, Laila, J’ree, Karen, Katalina, Dace, Reign, Lealani, Phoenix, Regis, and Khloe; nieces: Kay, Lyvette [Gregory], Vicky, Angela [Elvyn], Leonell, Reema [Hank]; special nieces: Donnamae Postlethwaite and Debbie Saunders; nephews: Garry, Reed, Wade, Andrew [Nikki], Wayne [Charmaine], Andre [Demetria]; and great-nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Special friends: Sally Perinchief, Lacey Fraser, Merrill [Mandy], Zachary Butterfield, Roselyn “Rosey” Trott, Pastor Raynor. Fondly remembered by St. James Church Young at Heart.
