Valerie Marie Riley of 10 Riviera Rd., Southampton, in her 94th year, beloved daughter of the late Kenneth and Marie Riley [née James].
Predeceased by her siblings: Dorris Bean [McClinton “Macky”], Leroy Riley, Gladstone “Blondie” Riley and Maurice “Reecie” Riley; nieces and nephews: Sonya Swan, Shirley Simmons, Allen “Maddie” Simmons, Derrick “Poochie” Simmons, Jeremé Cumbermack, Judah Quallo and very special lifelong friend Myrtle Dill.
Loving sister to Marlene Swan; sister-in-law to Rose Riley [Leroy] and Paulette Riley [Maurice]; Cherished aunt to Diana Pitt [Calvert], Denise Simmons, Judy Simmons, Karen Smith [Allan], Kevin Swan [Alicia], Calvin Bean, Tonya Swan, Jerri-Lee Swan, Stevie Riley, Angelique Burgess [Phillip], Shelley Riley and close cousins McAllen James and Coralie Trott. Also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Dionne, Carmen, Antione [Julieanne], Kevin Jr., Shanelle, Shakia, Patrina [special niece], Cody, Milika, Kemilah, Phillip Jr., Jordan and Aaron; great-great-nieces and nephews; Ariah, Jahzeel, Calshon, Tsehai, Jordon, Jediah, S’Nya, Elias, Jada, Priya and Milan; great- great-great nieces and nephews Kemaya, Chanz, Rylan, Kias, Ajani and Asim. Also lovingly remembered by her godchildren Sandra, Valerie, Cassandra, Michelle, Teresa, Paul, and countless other relatives and friends.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Middle Road, Warwick. The Interment will follow the service in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Bright colors may be worn.
Viewing will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Amis Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick from 6:30 to 8:00pm.
