Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Joan Elizabeth Scott, wife of Alvin Cornelius “Neily” Scott, son of the late Henry Withrow and L. Christabel Cann (nee Horton), mother of the late Alvin “Tobias” Scott, late J Quincy Scott; Jennifer Scott and the late Elizabeth “Bitsy” Simmons; predeceased brothers: Albert (Winifred), Braxton Sr., David (Bertha) Willis (Brenda) and Daniel “Danny” (Beverley); predeceased sisters: Frances Stearns (nee Cann) (Joe), Rosemarie Foss nee Cann (Brian) and Adelia “Deia Cann; in her 94th year of 71 Sleepy Hollow Drive, Hamilton Parish, CR 02. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 10:00 am at St James Anglican Church.
Joan Scott will fondly remembered by grandchildren: N. Koshea Scott-Millett, T. Rikkai Scott, Kasiya Francis, Kiwana Daniel, Kama Smith, Kenya Scott and Jermaine “Smalls” Simmons; great grandchildren: Terrika Simmons-Smith, Arie Daniel, Ethan Daniel, Terran Simmons-Talbot, Marcus Iris-Simmons, Riley Millett, Ryan Millett, Yendi Simmons-Chase and Sa’mere Francis-Ming; 7 great great grandchildren, Special nieces: Gina James (nee Cann), Syreeta Francis (nee Cann) and Renee Brown (nee Cann); 11 nieces, special nephew Mitchell Cann, 15 nephews; Godson: Wallace Wellman; Special friends: Cynthia Tucker, May Doars, Penny Whitehead, Grace Scott (nee Simons), the late Cora White (nee Scott), Dr. Peter and the late Ann Perinchief and family, special son David Perinchief; and the Matcham family, the Horton family, numerous in-laws, family and friends far too many to mention.
