It is with great sadness that the family of Jose Alves Cabral Snr. Announce his passing on June 22nd, 2024, of Sea View Lane, Smiths in his 89th year. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Maria Hortencia [aka Angela], his son Jose Cabral Jnr [Debbie] and daughter Carmen Mendonca [Craig], grandchildren, Jason Cabral [Vince], Jessica Gordon [Joe], Ryan Cabral [Edsa], Andrew Mendonca [Danyelle] and Melanie Mendonca, great-grandchildren, Tyler Cabral, Jack Mendonca, Celeste Gordon, Isabella Cabral, and Florence Gordon. Jose is survived by his sister, Celina Cabral in the Azores and predeceased by five siblings, Carlos, Antonio, and Inez from Brazil, Manuel from Canada, and Daniel from Bermuda. Special nephews and nieces Narciso DaPonte [Luisa], George [Cindy] Cabral, and Sue Cabral [Andrew], sister-in-law, Paula Cabral, and many other family members, Godchildren, and friends are too numerous to mention.
The funeral mass service for Jose Alves Cabral will be held on Friday, 28th of June 2024 at 2:30 pm at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, South Shore Road, Smith’s. Interment will follow at Holy Calvary Cemetery, Robert’s Avenue, Devonshire. A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and Caregiver, Carina Gamayon.
