We regret to announce the passing of Laurene Ismay Barker beloved wife of the late Leo Pearson Barker, loving mother to Sherman [Naomi] Swan and Norma [Leon] Smith; devoted granny to Sherman [Karen] Swan Jr. and Leon “Leejay” [Indra] Smith Jr.
A service of celebration will be held on Monday, 5th April 2021 at 1:00p.m. at The Somerset SDA Church, Beacon Hill Road, Sandys with only 10 persons in attendance.
Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Main Road, Somerset.
A walk-through viewing will be held on Sunday, 4th April 2021 at AMIS Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick from 6:00 – 7:30p.m. with only 10 persons in the Chapel at a time, also on Monday, 5th April 2021 at The Somerset SDA Church from 12:00 noon to 12:45p.m.
She is also survived by: great grandsons: Xander and Kai Swan; sisters in law – Edith Swan and Alzora Barker; nephews: Alfred [Nick], Gerry, Brian, Gavin, Ricky, Gerald and Henry Swan, Cyril Whitter Jr., Gino Brangman and Winston Maxwell; nieces:: Dianna Dill, Merle Morgan, Sylvia Whitter, Velma Anderson, Joan Drummond, Barbara Middleton, Sandra Smith, Patricia Swan, Lee Ann Fitzgerald, Joanne Brangman, Sharon Swan, Donna Scott and Barbara-Jean Dowling and Special “Daughter” Robin Tucker, numerous other special friends, the entire Somerset SDA Church Family, and Pastors of the Bermuda Conference of SDA and Pastor Howard Smith and family.
