A service celebrating the life of Maria de Lourdes Medeiros in her 85th year, beloved wife of the late Jose Torres Medeiros; daughter of the late Sebastiao Raposo and the late Elvira Amaral; cherished mother to Joseph Medeiros and Gabriela Tavares [Adam] of Colony Valley, Southampton will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Middle Road, Southampton at 11:00am. Interment will follow service at the Stella Maris Catholic Cemetery, Secretary Road, St. George’s. There will be no viewing.
She leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren: Savannah and Ryan Tavares; brother Jose [Flizeberta] Raposo [Sao Miguel, Azores]; many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren in the Azores, Portugal, UK, USA and Canada. Lourdes was predeceased by her brother Joao Luis Raposo [Sao Miguel, Azores].
