AMIS Memorial Chapel regrets to announce the passing of Mary Janette Louise Burgess, devoted loving wife of Norris C.R. Burgess Sr., and daughter of late parents: Philip (Harley) & Darelene (Dolly)Tucker, in her 91st year of #25 Rocky Land West, Hamilton Parish who departed this life on Friday, May 29th, 2026.
The service will be held at First Church of God, (FCOG) North Shore Road, Pembroke, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11.00 am. Interment will follow at The Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hamilton Parish.
Two viewings will be held. Tuesday, June 16,2026 at St. Philip’s A.M.E. Church, Harrington Sound, Smith’s Parish, from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, and on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at First Church of God Church from 10.00am to 10.50am.
She leaves to cherish her memory children: Lovette Pemberton (Michael), Norris Burgess Jr. (Robin) McAlister Burgess (Sonia), Anternette Burgess-Lewis (Leroy Nibs deceased), Dawnette Brown (Hilton), Norette Simmons (Dr. Donald), Suzette Burgess – Albouy, Juliette Basden (Kevin), Phillip Burgess (Angelique), Stepdaughter Noreen Campbell (Gary).
Grandchildren: Nigel Burgess (Tanecia), Dr. Kyjuan Brown, Kennette Burgess, Carmen R. Francis (Lawrence), Tyrell Burgess (Kalena), Noreco Burgess (Ava), Akeem & Shakeem Albouy, Zaire Simmons, Phillip Jr, Aaron & Jordan Burgess (Dennika), Nasya Burgess, Asrael, Tajer, and Seruno Basden, Dominique Brown, Jason &, Leroy LJ Lewis Jr., Justin Lee-Rogers Barker, (predeceased) Brijette Basden.
Great Grand Children: Scarlette, Pierce, Carter, Ava, Yari, Aya, Ace, Cruz, Cairo, Anori, Mayze, Milan, Ayzlei.
Sisters-in-law: Henrietta Gibbons and Wenda Darrell-Solomon.
Nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
Godchildren: Rhonda Gibbons and Joanne Tucker.
