Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Mrs. Maude Gwendolyn Louthilda Bassett [nee Douglas] in her 103rd year. Former teacher in both the U.K. and Bermuda’s public schools. Daughter of the late Mr. Henry and Mrs. Mary Douglas. She was pre- deceased by her husband Arnold, two sons, Barrington and Howard Bassett and all of her eight siblings and in-laws. Maude leaves to mourn her daughter-in-law, Sharon Bassett, three grandchildren, Syronda Bassett [USA], and Marico and Tavin Bassett. One great-grandson, Curron Anderson. In addition, she also leaves to mourn may nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews, both here in Bermuda and in the U.S.A.
Funeral arrangements are being planned for Today, 29th March, 2022 at 1:00pm.

Interment will be at St. James Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at The Southampton, Seventh day Adventist Church, Today, March 29, 2022 from 12:00pm to 12:55pm.
