Bulley-Graham-Rawlins Funeral Home announces that the memorial service for Nathaniel ‘Nat’ James Austin Holder will be held at St. John’s Church, located on St. John’s Road, Pembroke, on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The family welcomes all to the service.

Nat Holder was a well-known and highly regarded figure in the construction industry. He was a graduate of Mount St. Agnes Academy. Nat made many friends and business contacts, associates from all walks of life in Bermuda, but his professional passion was asphalt. Together with his wife, Julie, they built and operated East End Asphalt Co. Ltd., which they owned for over 35 years. They paved hundreds of miles of Bermuda’s roads, driveways, parking lots, and even tennis courts until they sold the company in 2007. Nat was a diligent worker and a demanding boss, but his employees quickly learned that he was a kind, generous, and fair man. He enjoyed spending time with his three children and their spouses, as well as his four grandchildren, and tending to his beloved orchids, fruit trees, and gardens. Nat was a “part-time” golfer and member at Tucker’s Point Golf Club.

Nat was the loving husband of and is survived by Julie Elizabeth Holder, his wife, for almost 60 years. He was the caring father and father-in-law to his children, Christine and her husband, Jaimie Cornes, Holly and her husband, Julian Mitchell, and his son James Holder, as well as a doting grandfather to his four grandchildren, Lily and Zachary Cornes, and Ava and Owen Mitchell. Nat’s parents, John Austin and Mary Elsie Holder, predeceased him, as well as his brothers, John and Charles. He is also survived by his brother, Donald.
