A service of celebration honoring the life of Rejay Anthony Jemal Gibson, in his 50th year of 8 Horseshoe Lane, Southampton, beloved son of Heather & Delbert Doars and Reginald & Jackie Bean, loving father to T’Zare Gibson, and sept-daughter Tasia Simons; grandfather to Z’ro Gibson-Hill; brother to Dwainisha Richardson, Shandel Doars, Delbert Doars Jr., and Jason Simons, uncle to Nahj Richardson and Enzo Doars, will be held on Sunday 22nd October 2023 at The Southampton Seventh Day Adventist Church, 228 Middle Rd, Southampton at 3:00pm. Interment will follow at Somerset Methodist Church, 43 Long Bay Lane, Sandys.
Visitation will be held Saturday 21st October 2023, at Amis Memorial Chapel & Crematory 8 Khyber Pass, Warwick from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm only.
Rejay will be lovingly remembered by aunts: Brenda Astwood [Arnold], Charlotte Pearman, Pastor Lynette Rayner [Ashton], Hanna Gibson, Nelda Smith [Sterling], LaVonne Bean, and Corene Smith; uncles: Milton Bean [Naomi], Randy Bean [Avril], special Uncle Wayne Lottimore, Carl Doars and Brian Doars; cousins: Dawna [Donald], Lasalle, Duval, Malaika [Ryan], Aleem, Shannon [Lesley], Dwayne, Lori, Valachi [Tracy], Jody [Clarence], Johnette [Kevin], special cousin Nelson Ible, Shawn, Charles, Conika, Lorrie, Pierre, Carlos, Sharita, Coren, Robin [Kim], Gavin, Jasalle [Kai-Jay], Derika, Milton Jr., Carlita [Dennis], Keva, Tori, Randy Bean Jr., Ronae, Lorenzo, Sergio [Victoria], Deleon [Andre] and Michela; godparents: Reba Sutton, Terry Watson and Lee Burrows; godchildren: Kyra Butterfield, Jordan Swan and Jonah Whitehead; special brother Lenroy Sealy; special friends: Damon Taylor, Jason Burgess, Dawud Tucker, Rudolf Butterfield, Dorian Astwood, Vagunal Smith, Craig & Laquita Nesbitt, other family and friends too numerous to mention. Rejay was predeceased by grandparents Lionel & Joyce Gibson, Leon & Alice Bean; aunt Noreen Gibson; uncles Dereck Gibson and Dereck Bean.
