A Graveside service for Selena Carol Sarah Blanchette [nee Smith] in her 89th year, wife of the late Frederick J Blanchette Sr., daughter of the late Theophilus Smith and Selena Smith [nee DeShields], loving mother to Deborah Blanchette-Smith [Calix Sr.], the late Frederick G Blanchette Jr., sister to the late Eleanor Gilbert, Oreta Simmons, Wilbur Smith, Walter Smith, Nyland Haynes, will be held at St. Annes Cemetery, Thursday November 2, 2023 at 11am.
There will be no viewing.
Also survived by: Grandson: Calix Smith Jr.; granddaughter: Christyn Simons; grandson-in-law: Lerone Simons; great-grandson: Cruz Simons; great-granddaughter: Leyce Simons; families of predeceased siblings [special mention: Myron Smith, Eleanor Dunlop and Teresa Wilson] and the Blanchette/Lewis Family [Special mention: Florence and Eversley Sr.]; goddaughters: Marcia Smith, Angela Burchall, Genevana and Lenevana Simmons; Treasured friends: Leonie Bassett, Carol Burgess, Lucy Cabral, Mikey Cox, Annette Curtis, Evernell Davis, Janet Hollis, Anita Pitt [also cousin], Venita Smith [also sister-in-law], Winifred Wilson; caregivers: Rosemarie, Jewel, Nicole, Esther, Athena, Tai, Larsene and numerous other relatives and friends, too many to mention.
