It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mrs. Sheelah Veronica Hassell, beloved wife of Hugh Richard [Louie] Hassell, beloved daughter of the late William and the late Carrie Johnson of # 13 East Shore Lane, Sandys, in her 80 years. She was a cherished mother and survived by her son, Gary [Maria] Ray and daughter Melanie [Hildeberto] Sousa; grandchildren: Ethan, Brianna, Cierra and Isabella. Also survived by her brother, Peddy [Clara] Johnson of Saba, and her sisters Frances Hassell and Olive Johnson of Saba; sisters- in- law Eleanor Correia, Mary Stiles of USA and Loretta Hassell; brother-in-law Basil Hassell, plus nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Special thanks to Dr. H. Murray and Dr. S. Alikhani, PALS nurse Kathy Fox and caregivers Tisha Smith, Lisa and Natalie; also, the St. Joseph’s Church family.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 45 Somerset Road, Sandys MA 02, on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in St. Jospeh’s Cemetery. There will be no viewing. The Rosary will be said at the church at 12:30pm.
