Winifred Muriel Simons

The family of Winifred “Winnie” Muriel Simons is saddened to announce her passing.
Winifred was the third daughter of Hilgrove and Dorothy Darrell; beloved sister of Helene Brown and Gloria McPhee (both deceased); and devoted wife of George P. H. Simons (deceased).
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Charles Fitzgerald Scott (Diane); stepsons, Michael Simons (Carolyn) and Paul Simons; grandsons, Blake Scott (Katelyn), Johnathan Scott, and Marcus Simons (Diana); great-granddaughter, Lena Scott; great-niece, Kimberly Robinson; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, wisdom, and unforgettable spirit.
A funeral service will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Mark’s Church, Cemetery. A wake will be held at Blue Waters Anglers Club after the burial from 5:00 – 7:00 pm for family and close friends.
