Missian’s Evening of “Radical Praise”
In what’s being billed as an evening of “radical praise”, Jamaica-born vocalist DJ Missian will be launching a debut CD featuring his unique Christian reggae sounds at Heritage Worship Centre on January 15.
The singer (real name Nolan Brown) – whose music is a fusion of Gospel, World Music and reggae — will be unveiling “Missian On A Mission, Vol. One” at the Dundonald Street church along with such guests as Tricray Astwood, Big Snipes, Fire Kid and Deandre.
Featured performers are Mizola, Miss Tish, Samantha and Richie Robinson. The show is being held under the distinguished patronage of Pastor Blanche and councilman Craig Burchall.
Part proceeds from the event go to Elliott Primary School. Showtime is 7.30 pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Heritage Book Store and Dub City on Court Street. Patron tickets are $40 and come with a DVD of Missian’s videos.
Missian’s songs include the anthemic “Thank You Lord”, which has become a Bermuda YouTube sensation in recent weeks, drawing thousands of viewers.
