Nahki Wells Scores Twice In Bradford Victory
Bermuda’s Nahki Wells continues his fine form, scoring two goals for Bradford City during their pre-season victory over Guiseley today [Aug 1].
He scored the first goal in the 34th minute from around ten yards out. His second goal came in the 78th minute, with Bradford City describing it as a “fierce drive from all of 25 yards.”
Wells was taken off immediately after the goal, with the Coach deciding to rest him. With ten days to go until the season kicks off, Wells has already scored five goals so far this pre-season.
The 22-year-old former Dandy Town star signed with the U.K. team last year, and scored 11 goals in his first season as a professional.
His goals come as part of a big few days for Bermuda athletes, with the Annual Cup Match Classic set to kick off tomorrow, as well as eight of our top athletes representing the island in the Olympics.
Wells spoke with us a few weeks ago about the Olympics, saying he wanted to try and get down to London to see some of the Games, but it wasn’t possible with his schedule.
“I am sure they are going out to do their best and I wish them well. I wanted to go down and check some of it but it seemed almost impossible,” said Wells.
