Premier Cannonier’s 2013 Christmas Message
Good day and very Merry Christmas Bermuda.
As you and your loved ones gather to celebrate this very special day, Antoinette and I would like to offer our very best wishes to you all throughout this Christmas season
When I woke up this morning, my thoughts were on you Bermuda, because though many of us are very fortunate, it is also true that many of our families are facing economic hardship. On this Christmas day, you are uttermost in our thoughts.
As I reflect on the words that are woven through our Christmas songs and traditions: Love, peace, joy and hope -I am grateful for the reason we celebrate this most sacred day-the birth of Jesus the Saviour, who over 2000 years ago, humbly came into the world to spread hope and share the message of God’s unconditional love to all mankind.
In this Christmas season and beyond, let us resolve to reflect that hope and build a future together where despite our differences, we live in our beautiful Bermuda in harmony and in the spirit of love, where our children know true joy; and where peace and prosperity is realized by all, leaving no one behind.
I’m convinced it can happen. Today and beyond, let us be inspired the example that Jesus set. I urge those who can, to reach out in the spirit of brotherhood to give to those who are less fortunate and extend the Christmas spirit throughout the entire year.
On behalf of the Government of Bermuda and our members, we wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, and a safe, healthy and joyous New Year.
- Craig Cannonier, Premier

First time as Premier he wrote something without his Press Sec.
Over the next 2 years you need to get those ubp boys out of your camp and place the bda MEN back in. Take charge of the party Mr. Premier and stop taking orders.
Pull a Doc Brown on them.
“Sorry I had to deceive you”
Good day Mr. Premier and family, It is moments like this that I am truly grateful that I can reflect over the past year and look back to see how far I have come,I for one am thankful for these kind words that you I believe have shared from the heart.
Christmas is a time that we must reflect the true reason for the season and un-like many of our Leaders in the past, you have honored our Lord and savior Jesus Christ,in a country were we can truly worship and adore Him for who He truly is, while there are those in central Africa being martyred just for serving the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
May you and your family truly enjoy this festive season and the best of all that can come your way for the upcoming 2014,may the spirit of Christmas, which is only found in the Christ of Christmas continue far beyond these yule tide season, I take to heart that in all of our difference in a country that has it’s share of struggles,as long as we keep Jesus and His teachings among us, the future can only be as powerful as we make it to be.
I close with the most important fact of why I responded to your comments, it is our belief in the only sovereign God and Savior that keeps us jointly connected for all eternity, some may not approve or even receive this word but Jesus is still the reason for this season and just in case there may be one that thinks there is another way, let me remind you.Acts:4.12 declares that there is no other name under heaven, given among men whereby we must be saved but that of the name of Jesus.
John 3:16 For God so loved the World that He gave is only begotten son, that he that believeth on Him shall never perish but shall have eternal life, May all residence of Bermuda have a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
You called the Governor “Commander and Chief”. No such titles of endearment for me your BERMUDIAN leader?
Merry XMAS all… “BE the CHANGE THAT YOU WANT OTHERS TO BE”….Best of the NEW YEAR !!
DO ONE THING TO HELP SOMEONE ALONG THE WAY !!
If you try and encourage those who are working hard to help this country (OBA) instead of insulting them, their work and any positive commenters, then you would help the whole of Bermuda and not just one person. Please try that Betty.
Merry Christmas to everyone…that includes you reading this.
Trump. You do one thing long the way and for 2014 I hope you’ll stop being so negative.
Saw the premier and his lady walking around the city today, very nice.
