Nahki Wells & Huddersfield Defeat Barnsley 5-0
[Updated] Nahki Wells and his Huddersfield F.C. teammates took on Barnsley F.C. today [Mar 1] recording a 5-0 victory, with Wells earning three assists and winning a penalty for Town.
At halftime, Huddersfield were up with a two goal lead at the break. Wells assisted in both occasions with Keith Southern and Danny Ward scoring in the first half.

In the second half, Wells set up teammate Adam Hammill who scored against his former team. In the 56th minute, a penalty was awarded after Nahki Wells took the ball around Barnsley keeper Luke Steele through on goal, and was brought down in the play. Adam Clayton takes the penalty and scores the fourth goal of the game.
A tweet from Huddersfield F.C. boasted “Nahki Wells has set up all four of Town’s goals today, with some brilliant individual play. Provider!”
Huddersfield won the game 5 – 0 match, and the club tweeting, “A Man of the Match performance from Nahki Wells, who got three assist and won the penalty for Town.”
Huddersfield’s next game will see the Terriers take on Doncaster Rovers F.C. on March 8 at 11am.
Update 5.18pm: Huddersfield Town Coach Mark Robins praised Town’s attacking football and was impressed by Man of the Match Nahki Wells’ contribution, saying: “I thought Nahki Wells was absolutely magnificent, I was hoping he’d get a goal, but he created opportunities for others and was at the heart of everything we did today.”
