Women’s Futsal League Weekend Results

A total of 35 goals were scored in the latest round of Women’s Futsal League inside the Warwick Academy Gymnasium this weekend.

Footy Force Stars 11 Hamilton Parish 1

Scorers: Footy Force: Zara Gibbons 3, Scorers: HPWC: Karen Dechabert 1
Footy Force started off slow, but by the end of the first-half they lead Hamilton Parish 6 – 1 . The second-half saw Footy Force extend their dominance by scoring 5 more goals to win the game 11 – 1. Zarah Gibbons who scored a hat-trick was MVP for Footy Force with Karen Dechabert the lone scorer for Hamilton Parish was the MVP she also played in goal. Footy Force also got 3 goals from Cheyra Bell, Leah Smith and Danielle Foot both scored twice and Jahzyiah Samuels scored once.

Dandy Stars 7 Somerset Hurricanes 5

The game of the evening saw fans treated to an exciting competition between two evenly matched teams. Both teams matched each other’s scoring and were tied up at 4 all at the end of the first-half. Dandy Stars jumped out to a quick start in the beginning of the second-half, scoring 3 more goals. The Somerset Hurricanes could only respond with 1 goal, although they had most of the possession towards the end of the game. Ebonie Burgess was outstanding for Dandy Stars in defense and Chauntae Todd was equally outstanding for the Somerset Hurricanes scoring 4 goals. The Dandy Stars got a hat-trick from Cleshaunay Darrell-Virgil, Kyla Ramatar scored twice, while Kashintae Fox and Nia Christopher scored a goal each. Eva Frazzoni scored the other goal for the Somerset Hurricanes.

PHC Lady Zebras 9 Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds 2

Micah Pond scored 4 times, Jessica Furtado added a hat-trick and Taznae Fubler scored twice for the League leaders PHC Lady Zebras who were just too strong for the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds, who had a number of scoring opportunities, but could not put them away. PHC Lady Zebras lead 4 – 1 at half-time and extended their lead in the second-half by scoring 5 more goals to Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebird’s 1 goal. Jessica Furtado and Micah Pond were joint MVP’s for PHC and KyAnne Scott-Fisherden who scored twice was outstanding for Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds.
