Women’s Futsal All-Star Game & Awards
The Bermuda Futsal Federation held its Third Annual Women’s Futsal Game at a packed Bermuda College Gym on Saturday evening [Apr 12]. The West was coached by SCC’s Paul Fisher, making his first appearance, and the East by Dandy Stars’ Aaron Denkins, making his third appearance as an All-Star coach.
This year’s game proved to be the most evenly contested of all the All-Star games with the West Team jumping out to an early lead. However, a determined East Team regrouped and at half-time, the West led the East 6 to 5. In the second-half both teams went back and forth with the West scoring 6 goals to the East’s 4 to win the game 12 to 9.
At the end of the game, the following awards were presented by representatives from the Bermuda Football Association and sponsor Sidekicks:
- All-Star Game: MVP – Kashintae Fox of the East Team
- League Champions – PHC
- League MVP – Jessica Furtado (PHC)
- Leading Scorer – Jessica Furtado (PHC)
- Most Outstanding Goal Keeper – Micah Pond (PHC)
- Coach of the Year – Aaron Denkins (Dandy Stars).
