Photos: Progressive Labour Party Banquet
The Progressive Labour Party hosted their 48th Annual Banquet at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, tonight [Nov 22], with the keynote address delivered by guest speaker Bishop Vernon Lambe.
Master of Ceremonies for the evening was MP Lawrence Scott with many other Progressive Labour Party Members of Parliament and Senators joining Opposition Leader Marc Bean for the event. Former Premiers Alex Scott, Paula Cox and Dame Jennifer Smith were also in attendance, as were BIU President Chris Furbert along with other union executives, former Deputy Mayor of Hamilton Donal Smith and many more.

The People Love to Party.
Not very representative of Bermuda’s racial makeup is it?
Because the others dont come who’s the blame.
“We don’t care what you think.”
He’s got a point. Anybody can join the PLP, really. Throwing the race card for this particular thing is out of place.
I thought only real Bermudians could go.
Depends if you are talking about Born Bermudians..
And you wonder why it’s not racially diverse.
That’s one expensive Sunday dinner.
General tickets $125 and VIP tickets at $250.
Guess Bean was wrong when he and the PLP said the recessions is not over.
Well it appears to be over for some at least.
The guest speaker should have been made to read the 315 page Auditor’s Report to the crowd just tormenting them how they are celebrating an organization that broke the BDA taxpayer.
*tormenting = just to show them (autocorrect)
I agree, The Auditors Report should have been read, makes me ill to see some people so blazingly irresponsible having their photo taken.
such a diverse group.
Nice to see everyone putting on such a brave face.
And why isn’t this political party more ‘diverse’ may I ask? Anyone willing to share?…..
Because like the Republicans of the US, the PLP is simply a hate group masquerading as a political party who have no qualms at stating that they only represent and thus will only govern for one sector of the population.
By the photos above perhaps 20 people attended…keep smiling plp elite.
haha – there were about 37 tables so I think that would be much more than 20 people. Keep wishing, OBAers.
Stop complaining you lot. There is a strength in coming together to celebrate. The pictures are lovely.
I know right.
Bishop Lambe is a natural speaker, I love hearing him speak.
Listen to them ^^^ Anytime a group of Influential Blacks get together they start to panic… Not much has changed.
