Bermuda On Forbes, Business Insider ‘Top Lists’
Bermuda been named on both the Forbes Travel Guide’s “16 Top Destinations For 2016″ and Business Insider’s “21 incredible luxury destinations you should visit in 2016″ lists, with one publication saying “if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, look no further than Bermuda.”
The Forbes story said, “Though the America’s Cup isn’t scheduled until June 2017, waves of excitement have already begun rippling around the island. Last fall’s Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series got interest going with fascinating races from teams in New Zealand, the United States and other places.

“When portions of the massive America’s Cup Village — a man-made, 11-acre attraction built on the water — are completed in late 2016, it will help keep up the boating bedlam.
“Team France headquartered at Elbow Beach, Bermuda during the World Series; once the hotel completes its re-envisioning over the next year, we fully expect more teams [smart travelers as well] to try to make the stellar resort their home for the Cup.
“Another savvy lodging option is Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa, a property only 13 miles from the racing start line that will host the celebrity-filled Bermuda Golf Classic [April 13-17] before it fully refurbishes rooms, turns Breezes into an all-weather eatery and adds a bar to the Tamarisk Restaurant later this year.”

The Business Insider story said, “If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, look no further than Bermuda. The island, which is surrounded by vibrant coral reefs, islets, and marine life, is ideal for those who enjoy sailing. In 2017, the island will also be hosting the 35th edition of the prestigious Louis Vuitton America’s Cup.
“In preparation for the event, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess and Beach Club recently put the final touches on a $90 million renovation that included the addition of the island’s first full-service marina and a new harbor-view restaurant by renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson.”
Seems to be that Cambridge Beaches is not only 13 miles from the racing start line. If is going to start at Dockyard maybe only 1.3 miles? Otherwise this piece is aimed at exactly the right audience.
Very fitting, cause middle class can’t afford to come here.
Middle class already come here, just mostly on cruises instead of planes, but they still come by plane. Wipe that onion juice off ya face bra!
You complain when it’s to many people now you complain about no having enough. It is better to a have quality vs quantity. A few wealthy take up a lot less space than cruise ship crowd with their one bottle of water and 3 straws.
Onion Juice must be the most negative person on these sites, never anything good to say! Totally agree PR, I think the figures showed that the cruise ship passengers spent about $13.00 a head, bring back the quality and forget the quantity !
