Insurance Bermuda Triangle Event Set For July
Insurance industry professionals and speakers from Europe, Bermuda and North America will gather in Bermuda on July 12 to discuss emerging trends and issues in the insurance industry at the Insurance Bermuda Triangle Event.
The program will be held in conjunction with the International Association of Defense Counsel [IADC] Annual Meeting and is open to non-IADC members.
The event’s morning session will be held from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the IADC’s Annual Meeting at the Fairmont Southampton. The afternoon session will run from 2 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception, at XL Catlin’s insurance office in Hamilton.
The event’s presentation topics, for CLE credit, will include:
- Enforcing International Arbitration Awards;
- London/Bermuda Arbitration – Practical Thoughts and Considerations;
- The Towering Infernos – Lloyds Markets, Syndicates, and Coverage Towers Explained;
- Insurance and Reinsurance in a Low Carbon Economy;
- M&A: Merger Mania in the Bermuda Insurance Market; and
- All Change! England Completes Insurance Law Review.
Other planned event highlights include a discussion among representatives from XL Catlin and other insurance professionals on their experiences in the insurance M&A market, as well as a presentation by Jeremy Cox, CEO of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, on green climate issues in the reinsurance industry.
