Keeper Nathan Trott, West Ham Face Swansea
West Ham United Premier League 2 goalkeeper Bermudian Nathan Trott will be looking to help his team continue its winning ways when the club matches up with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow [Aug 25].
A story on the West Ham United website said, “The Hammers go into the game on the back of a terrific 3-1 victory against Newcastle United on Monday, and now have two wins from their first two league encounters this season.
“And Trott, who has started between the sticks in both fixtures, believes Terry Westley’s men can pick up a third consecutive victory in Wales if they perform as they did against the Magpies.
Trott said, “The first half performance in that match was really great from us. We kept the ball really well and all our attacks started at the back and progressed through the pitch.
“All the defence was in sync. We played so well in that 45 and then the second half was a bit different, but we came through as the game changed.”
“If we play like that again on Friday, it will be difficult for Swansea to get anything I think. The whole team played well and it came from the previous game against Stoke I think.
“It’s going to be great playing at the Liberty Stadium because we don’t get that opportunity much. We want to make the most of that opportunity and try and win the game. The team’s in good harmony right now.”
“Trott is enjoying his chance between the sticks for Terry Westley’s men currently, with England U19 goalkeeper Sam Howes out injured.
“And after starting the first two matches, he explained his aims for the rest of the season.”
“I’m really confident at the moment and I want to remain the No1 goalkeeper for the Premier League 2 side now this season. That’s one of the things I’m pushing for and want to achieve.
“If we keep winning games, that will help me, but ultimately it’s about the team putting points on the bard. That’s what keeps me happy.
