Rotoract Club Inviting New Members To Join
Bermuda’s Rotaract Club is inviting new members to join “a growing network of dedicated young individuals who are looking to work together to serve others and advance our community,” with the application process open to people aged 18 to 30.
An information session will be held on October 6 at Bermuda College’s blue room at 5.45pm.
A spokesperson said “Bermuda’s Rotaract Club would like to personally invite you to be a part of a growing network of dedicated young individuals who are looking to work together to serve others and advance our community.
“If you are aged 18 to 30, looking for a challenge and a way to meet and connect with new people, this is the club for you. This Rotaract Club is sponsored by Sandys Rotary and is recognized by the organization Rotary International.
“We endeavor to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist young adults in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of our community, and to promote local and international relations through a framework of friendship and service.
“Outlined by “Rotary International”, the goals of Rotaract are to develop professional and leadership skills; to emphasize respect for the rights of others, and to promote ethical standards and the dignity of all useful occupations; to provide opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns of the community and our world; to provide opportunities for working in cooperation with sponsoring Rotary clubs; and to motivate young people for eventual membership in Rotary.
“Bermuda’s Rotaract Club of Sandys meets twice a month on Thursdays in the blue room at the Bermuda College. Each week we have meeting minutes and a meeting agenda to review for the upcoming meeting. During the meetings, held by the Club’s President, we exchange ideas, plan activities and projects, and socialize. Everyone’s voice can be heard.
