U.S. Cycling Group To Offer Tour Of Bermuda
Boston-based adventure tour operator Ciclismo Classico is set to bring its first group of leisure road cyclists on its multi-sport tour of Bermuda next weekend. The group of eight will cover over 50 miles of riding, a half-day of kayaking, as well as experience culinary and cultural activities of the island.
While most of the Ciclismo Classico’s tours are in Europe, it saw an opportunity in Bermuda to replicate the key components of its European experiences: beautiful, smooth roads with scenic views, rich history, diverse culinary offerings and warm and friendly people.
“When I thought about our ideal traveler, I realized that our existing client-base matched perfectly with what Bermuda has to offer and with the island’s target visitor. Combining that with the growing appeal of road cycling and Bermuda’s proximity to North America, it makes for the ideal long weekend to enjoy the island in a way few other travelers experience,” according to Joe Luchison, Director of Operations – North America.
Ciclismo Classico has engaged the services of local entrepreneur Dexter Swan of Social Cycles and Adventure Transport to lead the group, provide bicycles and a support van. The group will be based at Newstead Belmont Hills Resort & Spa.
Based on feedback from this inaugural tour, the company is looking to offer additional dates throughout 2017.For more about the tour, visit this page.
