Team Hurricane School Break Holiday Camp
Team Hurricane Basketball Academy is holding its first ever Team Hurricane Holiday Camp from December 18 to December 22 , open to boys and girls aged 7-18.
A spokesperson said, “The camp will have 2 options for students and their families to consider. Full Day Camp [8:30am - 4:30pm] includes Morning Sessions held at Hurricane Preparatory Academy [155 South Road, near John Smiths Bay] Afternoon Session held at Warwick Academy from 1:30pm-4:30pm. Team Hurricane will provide a van service from Hurricane Preparatory Academy to Warwick Academy.
“The Full Day Camp has a strong academic component. After morning runs, camp attendees will be getting in up to two hours of academics from 9am-11am. The Afternoon Session will be held at Warwick Academy from 1:30pm-4:30pm and will feature Team Hurricane Basketball training. Team Hurricane Basketball Academy will provide van service to Warwick Academy.
“The Half-Day Option [1:30-4:30pm] includes an Afternoon Session held at Warwick Academy from 1:30pm-4:30pm and will feature Team Hurricane Basketball training
“The Team Hurricane Holiday Camp serves as the charity’s efforts to extend its reach beyond basketball and into providing academic and extracurricular services for Bermuda’s youth. Under its Hurricane Preparatory Academy banner, Hurricane Prep is committed to serving students from all parishes in Bermuda.
“Enrollment into Hurricane Prep is not limited to Team Hurricane Basketball Academy members, but is open to students with a desire for academic enrichment, as well as a passion for sports and/or art disciplines.
“Team Hurricane will provide an after-school program; Cambridge Test Prep; and seasonal camps with academic, sports, and arts components.
“The mission of Hurricane Preparatory Academy is to provide a rigorous instructional program whereby students will have unique opportunities to infuse their academic learning with sports, art, creative writing, and music and/or dance.”
“Hurricane Preparatory Academy will provide a nurturing environment which help to develop students into enriched, empowered and creative thinkers who act with a sense of responsibility, discipline and passion in their post-secondary lives.
