Photos & Video: Whitney Institute Career Fair

Whitney Institute Middle School held their Career Fair today [Feb 9], with display booths providing information on careers in architecture, business, finance, policing, health, military, real estate, law, aviation, marine services, retail, engineering, cosmetology and more.

The booths allowed students to discuss their career interests with professionals and gain exposure to a myriad of career paths, with the students spending this morning enthusastically visiting the booths and learning about the various careers.

Some the booths also offered more interactive activities. For instance, some students were shown CPR techniques, while the police department brought others outside for demonstrations with their trained police dogs.

Participants also had the opportunity to attend presentations on Leadership in Education, Hospitality, Applied Technology, Healthcare and more; with Junior Minister of Education & Workforce Development Senator Jason Hayward among those who addressed the students.
