Bermuda Youth Sailors Continue In Uruguay
The 2018 Optimist South American Championships in Montevideo, Uruguay continued with a fleet of 168 sailors taking part, including seven young Bermuda sailors; Sebastian Kempe, Christian Ebbin, Magnus Ringsted, Ahzai Smith, Laura Hupman, Nicole Stovell and Rachael Betschart.
After nine races in the Gold Fleet, Kemp finished in 11th place with 79 Net Points, while Ebbin was 14th with 100 Net Points
Competing in the Silver Fleet, Hupman finished 17th with 174 Net Points, Smith finished 24th with 185 Net Points, while Ringsted finished 27th with 198 Net Points, Betschart was 42nd and Stovell finished 55th.
