Video: Scotland Sets Surrey On Their Way
Bermudian Marcus Scotland made a strong showing during Surrey’s opening match of the ECB Royal London Under 15 County Cup against Suffolk at the LSE Sports Ground, South London on Sunday.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Surrey soon found themselves uncomfortably placed at 114-5 after 28 overs, however Scotland, who last year opened the batting for the under-14s, came in at number seven and built some useful partnerships with Ayush Patel [72] and wicketkeeper Jed Crerar [25].
Batting the remaining 22 overs, Scotland finished unbeaten on 53 with two fours, facing 58 balls. In reply, Suffolk finished with 102 losing by 148 runs. Surrey’s next match will be against Essex at Billericay Cricket Club on Thursday.
