Rosewood Bermuda is offering a special package celebrating Cup Match weekend, with the exclusive package including accommodations at the newly renovated Rosewood Bermuda, transfers to the cricket matches, and daily breakfast.

The hotel only has suites available at this time so the rate is $2,560++ per night.

A spokesperson said, “Rosewood Bermuda is offering a special package celebrating Cup Match weekend, one of the most prestigious sporting events of the Bermudian summer and a lively celebration of Bermudian culture and history which includes festive beach parties and authentic boat races. Available August 2-3, 2018, this exclusive package includes accommodations at the newly renovated Rosewood Bermuda, transfers to the cricket matches and daily breakfast. The hotel only has suites available at this time so the rate is $2,560++ per night.

“Rosewood Bermuda, the recently renovated, ultra-luxury resort in Tucker’s Point, is offering a special package around the island’s Cup Match weekend, one of the most prestigious sporting events of the Bermudian summer and a lively celebration of Bermudian culture and history which will take place on Thursday, August 2nd and Friday, August 3rd.

“One of Bermuda’s most highly anticipated events of the year, Cup Match weekend kicks off with a cricket match between two island rivals and prominent local cricket teams, St. George’s and Somerset, and includes a host of other festive activities, from lively concerts on the beach to boat races between hand-made vessels. More than just a sporting event, Cup Match weekend also honours two important moments in Bermudian history – Emancipation Day and the discovery of the island.

“The first day of Cup Match coincides with Emancipation Day, which honours the abolition of slavery on the island in 1834. The second day of Cup Match falls on Somer’s Day, which honors Admiral Sir George Somers, who discovered Bermuda.”

“We are thrilled to invite our guests to experience the delights of the Bermudian summer with our new Cup Match package,” said Paul Telford, managing director of Rosewood Bermuda. “We are looking forward to welcoming travelers and showcasing the best of the island’s rich history and culture during one of the most exciting, fun-filled weekends of the year.”

“The Cup Match package includes luxury accommodations at Rosewood Bermuda; one-way water taxi transfer to the games [August 2nd and 3rd]; and daily breakfast for two people.

“Rosewood Bermuda reopened in April following a comprehensive renovation. Gracing approximately 240 acres of the most beautiful waterfront property in Bermuda, the modernized resort features 88 elevated guestrooms, enhanced Beach Club, upgraded Golf Clubhouse, reimagined dining outlets, a revitalized spa with new wellness and fitness offerings and a vibrant new bar.
