BFRS Extinguish Vehicle Fire In Paget
[Updated] Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to a car fire around 5.00pm this evening [Nov 20] on Middle Road in the Paget area between Manse Road and Cobb’s Hill Road.
Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said: “There is presently a car fire on Middle Road in the area of Manse Road and Cobb’s Hill Road. Traffic diversions are in place and delays are expected.”
Police are on scene and traffic flow has been reduced to one lane. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update 7.07pm: The BFRS said, “At approximately 4:51pm on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Middle Road, Paget.”
Fire Service spokesperson Lieutenant Russann Francis stated that “on our arrival the Officer-in-Charge reported there were two persons who fortunately made their way out of the burning vehicle without injury.
“Two members of the team of four personnel wore breathing apparatus and quickly extinguished the fire.”
Update 7.27pm: Traffic flow in the area has returned to normal.
