New Indoor High Jump & Heptathlon Records
It was a stellar weekend for track and field, with new Bermuda Indoor Records set in the high jump and heptathlon, courtesy of excellent showings by Jah-Nhai Perinchief and Grant Rivers.
Jah-Nhai Perinchief, who was competing in the Big 12 Championships in Texas, placed second in the high jump with a leap of 2.25m, which set a new indoor Bermuda record, breaking his old record of 2.22m.
In addition, Grant Rivers competed in the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Blacksburg, Virginia, where he was first overall with 5177 points setting a new Bermuda record in the indoor heptathlon.
