Football Team Named For Match Against Mexico
The Bermuda Gombey Warriors will continue their Concacaf Nations League A campaign on November 19th when they will play their final group match. Prior to the return match against Concacaf Champions, Mexico, the Gombey Warriors will play an exhibition match against DC United in USVI. This match represents a unique opportunity for the Bermuda players to play against a fully professional team in preparation for Mexico.
The team are Willie Clemons, Osagi Bascome, Liam Evans, Lejaun Simmons, Milan Butterfield, Justin Donawa, Nahki Wells, Chikosi Basden, Jahquil Hill, Quinaceo Hunt, Jahkari Furbert, Paul Douglas, Donte Brangman, Killian Elkinson, Eusebio Blankendal, Dale Eve, Cecoy Robinson, Jaylon Bather, Reggie Lambe, Roger Lee, Zeiko Lewis, Knory Scott and Dante Leverock [C].
The staff are Kyle Lightbourne – Head Coach, Ray Jones – Assistant Coach, Scott Morton – Assistant Coach, John Moreira – Goalkeeper Coach, Martin Wolffe – Sports Psychology, Andrew McDowall – Video Analyst, Gary Adams – Kit Manager, Craig Brown – Physio, Maurice Lowe – Technical Development Director and Crenstant Williams – Team Manager.
The team will play DC United on November 15th at the Bethlehem Soccer Complex on the island of St. Croix. The match will kick off at 7pm. The Nations League match against Mexico will kick-off at 10:30 pm Bermuda time and be played in Toluca; 8750 feet above sea level which represent a real challenge to the Gombey Warriors as they contend with the thinner air.
