Football Shield & Friendship Semi-Final
The Devonshire Colts and Southampton Rangers have advanced to the Shield and Friendship finals after semi-final matches at the Wellington Oval.
Shield Semi-Final: Devonshire Colts 2 – St. David’s 0
The Devonshire Colts have advanced to the Shield final after picking up a 2 – 0 win over St. David’s at the Wellington Oval.
Things did not start well for the Devonshire Colts when they were forced to make a change in the fifth minute when goalkeeper Jaden Mills-Furbert was struck in the face and was replaced by Jeneko Francis.

The Devonshire Colts took the lead in the 34th minute when Senoj Mitchell converted from the penalty spot; they took that lead to the break.
In the 55th minute the lead was doubled when Diego Richardson found the back of the net.
The Devonshire Colts will now face the Flanagan’s Onions in the final on New Year’s Day at the Somerset Cricket Club.
Friendship Semi-Final: Robin Hood 0 – Southampton Rangers 2
The Southampton Rangers advanced to the Friendship Trophy final, where they will face the Devonshire Cougars following their 2 – 0 win over Robin Hood.
Shanye Hollis gave the Southampton Rangers the lead in the 44th minute when he converted from the penalty spot after a foul in the box; they took that advantage to the break.
The Southampton Rangers lead was doubled when Jarazinho Basset scored a header from a corner to send the Southampton Rangers to the New Year’s Day affair at the Somerset Cricket Club.
