So where can we get a face mask?
We can’t just pop down to Gorhams on Monday and pick one up. It’s OK if you’re handy and know how to sew but I can’t even ask a friend to make me one because I can’t visit them during the lockdown.
Get creative
The easiest way to make a face mask without any sewing is to cut up an old T shirt, following the CDC instructions at www DOT cdc DOT gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html
If you can, you might want to adapt those instructions by folding the bottom of the T shirt over on itself first, so you double up the layer of fabric. You still wouldn’t need to sew it as I think the two layers would stay in place once tied around your face.
Where can you get a face mask? From your house. Use a scarf, shirt, or other fabric and tie it around your head, covering your mouth and nose. Either that, or stay TF at home!
I am in the same predicament ! I don’t even have a needle and thread if I could sew and have no rubber bands either.
You can use a bandana or an actual winter scarf, a t-shirt or something of that nature. I saw a youtube video where someone used a pair of boxer briefs
Its so Easy to make one with no sewing! http://www.coronavirus.gov.bm has the link and there are numerous instructional videos online.
A month ago we couldn’t enter a grocery store wearing a full face helmet. Now it’s a requirement to enter a grocery store.
The govt refuses to admit there is “community spread” so why would anyone feel the urgency to wear a mask???
Something you aren’t telling us…hmmmm???
Just admit it and a lot of people will then see the seriousness.
If you walk around outside with the mask on and u use that same mask in the stores.. if the virus gets on the mask.. it is NOW IN THE STORE!… I refuse to go in a store now because of this mandatory mask maddness. Also they need to teach people about PROPER disposal of the masks. If you get home take the mask off and put in your trash can, it is now in yoyr HOME!
