Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of: – Lillian Viola Ruth Evans.
A Homegoing service for Lillian Viola Ruth Evans, wife of the late George Evans, daughter of the late Eva Stovell and William [Lanky] Furbert, loving mother of Rev. Nelson Rewan [Annette] and Leon Rewan [Brenda], Noel Evans [Joanne], Donna Jacobs [Tony], the late Llewellyn Rewan, Paula Hassell, sister to the late Mildred Marie Raynor, Olive ‘Dimples’ Lathan, Austin Jones and Edward Furbert; stepsisters Marva Stovell and Brenda Davis, stepbrothers: Shirley, Raymond, Quinton and Hewitt Stovell; Johnny, Robert, Morris, Cecil and Clayton Jones, in her 97th year of 2 Jacobs Lane, Pembroke will be held at Bright Temple A.M.E Church Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Pembroke Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Packwood Home.
There will be no viewing.
Lovingly survived by adopted daughter: Janet Glaze-Hinds [Ozzie]; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and adopted grandson: Aiyetoro Hinds; sisters-in-law: Edith Eve, Lucille Evans, Cynthia Stovell and Carol Stovell; stepsister: Lois Place; godchildren: Cindy Taylor and Edna Mae Tuzo; special extended family: Marie and Gary Smith and cousin Lucinda Mayes; nieces, nephews and other extended family members too numerous to mention.
