A celebration of life service for Millicent Grace Louise Washington, beloved daughter of the late John W de Shield and Arabella Grace de Shield nee Burchall, devoted wife of the late Eugene Sinclair Washington Sr., loving mother to the late Eugene Sinclair Washington Jr. and cherished mother of Sharon W Swan [Gerry], will be held on Tuesday February 14, at 2:30 pm at the St. George’s Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3 Secretary Road, St. George.
Interment will be at the Richard Allen Cemetery St. George’s
She is fondly remembered by grandsons Gerry [Kathy] Swan and Dube [Lisa] Swan, great-grandsons Grayson and Dube Jr, [DJ] Swan, great-granddaughter Dylan Grace Swan, sister Winifred Georges [the late Leon], brother-in-law Glynn [Sandra] Washington, nieces Barbara Wade, Dianna Caisey, Angela Brangman, Sandra Ottley, Leonette Georges, Flo Washington, nephews William de Shield, Oliver, Otto and Derek Trott, Rodney Grimes, Gregson and Otto Washington, dear friends, Cottage Hospital Nursing Home graduates Gladys Barney and Sylvia Edwards, godchildren Cynthia Tucker, Linda Merritt and Milan Trott, special friends Carmen Paynter, Frauke Voss and Dr. Sandra Hillman, midwife to many babies born in the 1940’s and 1950’s, Bermuda Nurses Association, Queen St. St Geo neighbours, Richard Allen AME Church family, many extended family friends and colleagues in Bermuda and abroad.
In lieu of flower, donations may be made to Mother Vernon Missionary Society of Richard Allen AME Curch.
