[AMIS Memorial Chapel & Crematory]

We regret to announce the untimely passing of our beloved father, Tony McCarron, who died unexpectedly [at the age of 59] on Thursday July 12th.

He was a kind and loving father who had a warm heart. He was devoted to us – Christopher, Elysse and Matthew and was extremely conscious of his responsibilities in providing for us. He gave us endless encouragement to find a passion, develope fulling careers and to lead meaningful lives. One of his own passions was music and he was well known for playing the bagpipes in the Bermuda Police Pipe Band.

Our father came to Bermuda from Scotland in 1980 and through his hard work and professionalism, rapidly established a good reputation within the Bermudian community. He was a master craftsman who was well known on the island as reliable and committed to his trade. While Tony enjoyed his life on the island, he never forgot his roots in his beloved Scotland & Ireland and indeed his ultimate wish was to return home. We intend to honor that wish and consequently Tony will be laid to rest alongside his parents in Ireland.

He was from a family of 9 girls and 4 boys and was particularly close with his twin brother Terry. He had great admiration for his parents and a profound respect and appreciation of their values. In particular, he had an unwavering affection and love for his mother Molly and was deeply affected by her passing in 2002. Tony was adored by his brothers, sisters, children and wider family, all of whom are saddened by his sudden death and he will be fondly remembered by everyone.

Being that his funeral will be held in Ireland, to remember his life we will have an informal gathering at Robin Hood [upper level] on Thursday, July 26th from 6-9pm for friends and family to pay their respects.

In loving memory, Christopher, Elysse and Matthew
