May 30: Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Results
This past Sunday May 30th, the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club featured a bevy of top local riders, as well as overseas Supermoto Rider Tim Marks. The full results follow below:
Mini Bike
Tamia Place dominated both heats of the day in the Minibike classification, while last year’s champion Amori Simons showed determined while battling newcomer Monique Waite, passing her seconds away from the finish line in heat 1, Monique being up for the challenge showed him how it was done in heat 2.

GP 70 / GP 80
The GP70 and GP80 classifications were combined for the day. The GP70 class riders were mixing it up, giving the field of GP80 riders a challenge. Wytiko Showers cleared the field ensuring his victory in both heats; but the battle of the day in both heats was between Aaron Persad (GP80) and Shae Darrell (GP70), with them battling back and forth for the entire race.

This classification consisted of 3 Supermoto riders and 1250cc rider for the day. Gerald Saltus, 2009 Formula Battle Award recipient, and Tim Marks had quite the battle in heat 1. In heat 2, Tim Marks entered the race ready for the challenge and unfortunately crashed out – leaving the door open for Tony Grant.

Scooters
Dominating in the scooter class this week was Sub Zero rider, Jeneko Place – never achieving the ‘hole shot’ but making his way to the front of the pack in each race. Giving Jeneko a challenge race after race was the duo of Kenneth Desilva, 2009 Scooter Champion and his compadre, Jordan Fletcher.

Superbike – 600 CC
In the Superbike class this week, we saw the return of Shannon ‘Superman’ Caisey, unofficially*! Two of the top riders, Shannon Caisey and Paul Decouto’s machines currently do not meet the classes technical regulations. However they both came out to test the ‘newest’ 600 rider, Cyril Whitter, who beat out the entire field in both heats of the day.
