Man Arrested For Machete Attack on Cricketer
The Bermuda Police have confirmed that today [July 21] a 23 year old St George’s man was arrested in connection with the machete attack on well known cricket player George O’Brian. The Police further confirm that the suspect remains in custody at Southside Police Station assisting Police with their inquiries.
The incident occurred around 8:30pm on Monday July 20 at a Mount Road, St. George’s residence. The Police said it appears that the victim was involved in an argument with another man, who was known to him, who proceeded to assault him with a “bladed article”.
The 25 year old right arm fast bowler cricketer, who has represented Bermuda internationally, may miss playing in Cup Match due to the injury.
